Sometimes trucking companies "charge-back" to the O/O or Company Driver expenses that should be absorbed or covered by insurance or just written off. I would love to hear the situations and excuses given by the companies in these instances.
I heard of one driver, who upon quitting for payroll default, was charged-back for his cumulative out of route miles since his hire date in order to offset his payroll default claim.
I heard of another who was charged $1000.00 for a parking violation WITHIN his home terminal in order to offset his longevity bonus.
Please share your experiences with this type of driver harassment.
