Sometimes trucking companies "charge-back" to the O/O or Company Driver expenses that should be absorbed or covered by insurance or just written off. I would love to hear the situations and excuses given by the companies in these instances.

I heard of one driver, who upon quitting for payroll default, was charged-back for his cumulative out of route miles since his hire date in order to offset his payroll default claim.

I heard of another who was charged $1000.00 for a parking violation WITHIN his home terminal in order to offset his longevity bonus.

Please share your experiences with this type of driver harassment.

I know of a driver that was essentially a salaried driver as long as he worked so many hours per day. After two years on the plan they decided every time he pulled a van he was going to be payed a lower rate and charged him $1600.
