Charger Logistics signs on as Aurora driverless trucking customer

Always in the flatlands with good roads, clear lines, no potholes and minimal snow. Not going to happen here or in the northern half of the states I think.

 

My plan is to go work at Dollar General once they kick me out of the trucking industry. They can’t ever keep their self checkouts working so I feel like it’s a safe bet.

 

Those driverless trucks will do a better job than most ot the drivers Charger has behind the wheel now. Bring them on and the sooner the better.

What’s funny is the Japanese has always been the technology leader. They ain’t even autonomous. Seen a video of a truck driver shortage in Japan. Maybe there’s a reason why they ain’t autonomous? My thought is it’s too much liability.

 

We will all probably sit saying to ourselves just wait until that first crash they have that kills someone, with one of those driverless trucks. I just hope it isn't too awful when it does happen, like the truck hitting a school bus full of kids or something like that.

 

Look at the waymo stupidity. Fire trucks not being able to get to calls, they just ram them out of the way. The technology isn’t there. Not even close.
