Charging Samsara ELD

    Can someone explain how to charge a Samsara ELD? I have had a couple of trucks with Samsara that the battery is dead. I was told that you can manually charge the battery with a cell phone charger. Appreciate any information along this line.

    Yeah, I found the port, you have to take the unit out of the holder on the dash to get to it and then you have to lay it on the passenger's seat, while charging. It will not go back in the holder while you are manually charging it.

    Samsara is a Android app. They don't make hardware. You can install it on your phone and certify your days away from the truck. It'll always be on a consumer tablet; megas lock the tablet down using enterprise features of Android.

    FYI the most buggy ELD solution in the industry. Worse than Omnitrac units were even
