I was just thinking how cool the old school truck would look with a little futuristic bling, and I could save a bit of change on fuel too. Anyone know if it's doable? I see k100e with the side fairings from the T600, could I slap some on my MH613 from say a CL or CH? It allegedly shares a chassis with the CL.

To be honest, if I were to buy an older cabover that had them, I would remove them. But that's just me.

I feel you bean, but i want to have the option. I feel like putting lipstick on a bulldog, am I wrong for it? Well... yea...
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I think you've got a sharp looking truck as it is! Maybe stainless/chrome bumper, and that thing is sweet.

Chrome and stainless seem to never go out of style.
For aero and fuel savings, my OPINION would be to go to the plastic store and pick up a couple sheets of uhmw or the like, and start cutting out your own. Start with cardboard and tape to get the idea of the look before cutting the plastic, then hack some brackets to hold the plastic pieces on and use it for a few miles. Get some feed back. Then make some permanent parts from metal or fiberglass.
That KW, in my OPINION, don't look bad, but has that "repair from an accident" look to it. In my eyes that is.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I'd put that money towards polishing the tanks and maybe a stainless bumper.

Well right now we all like it, but if you add fairings it would certainly be a lot of work to make the truck ugly. I pulled fairings off my Freightliner never noticed any difference on fuel mileage.
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
