Oh yeah...Let us not forget Bennett....Mil loads for $1.50/m when LS pays $2.50/M or better.....
Like I said...Brokers shouldn't be taking more than 10%.....20% is "piggy"....50% is robbery.....

TQL, CH Robbing( 70% of the time), Coyote, Circle 8, and VHI.
When nobody takes their cheap freight they start calling a couple of hours later with a "miracle" increase of 20-50%.FREEBRD Thanks this. -
I scored today on 2 back to back cheap-n-heavy robbingsome's. Been sitting at the house getting over the flu the past 8 days. Didn't really want to work today but for fun I figured I'd see what was out there. Scored a $500 load only 56 miles away that I just picked up and deliver tonight 98 miles. 44k lbs. Next is 65 miles to pickup a 10k lbs 461 mile hump $1100. I also have another 40 or so bobtail miles. These are the first loads I've ever personally booked. Hats off to you guys who do it every day from the cab of your truck. I have hauled good paying loads booked by others from chr before but I never understood how cause I've called on at least a hundred loads from them that were always in the $1.20-$1.30 range which I refused. I guess I just got lucky. Time to eat dinner here at the house then off to deliver. My reload for Monday is only 18 miles from the house... sweet...

It is only Cheap Freight when a Cheap Freight Hauler accepts to haul it.
We provide the service and should always set the price.
You don't go to McDonalds and tell them how much you will pay for their hamburger, so why let the broker/shipper tell you how much you will accept for your service you provide.
If a broker has a rate, I act like I did not hear it and give them my rate for my service I am providing to them. Always be professional and courteous no matter how nasty they get. I always end the calls with "let me know if that will work for you, thank you for calling". -

Sometimes It seems that everyone else besides carriers in the "chain", thinks that trucks "run on air".....

Well I meet an o/o here at this shipper who has been doing these loads direct for years with this customer. CH Robinson handles overflow. They are getting $3 a mile to do this freight. I'm not mad though I got a fair rate.

It amazes me, been watching cheap stuff just flying off the boards the last few weeks, makes me wonder whos hauling all this crap, good time to work on the equipment.
