    I had a 3408 that I built myself. It wasn’t a pure 28V, was screwed together with parts from a half dozen different Serial Prefix and Arrangement #’s. Scary power but you could make an entire intersection disappear. I did have a 1693 that was fuelled up pretty good. Smoked worse than a V8 and sounded like a blender full of marbles at the best of times. But, you could fix it on the side of the road with a pair of vise-grips and a hammer. I miss those old engines in a lot of ways.
