Will wood chips empty themselves from an ag hopper?

I would venture to say it will depend how wet they are when you load them. The only comparable experience I have with my fleet is with almond hulls. They could be a little pesky if they had been rained on recently, but they came out easier than some other feed ingredients. Not to get too much into your business but I'd think you would also need a big trailer to get a full load. I've never hauled chips in our trucks but I have a friend of mine that does it regularly with walking floors and he always has them loaded to the top and barely makes 80k.

Thanks. Yeah, the hopper trailer would only hold ~1100 bu (or approx 1400 cu ft). By comparison, I think a 53 van is approx 3600 theroetically.
