Hello all, I’ve recently replaced my dryer and air governor and everytime the dryer purges air there’s a chirping sound coming from the air governor. When I back off of the set screw from the governor the chirping goes away. Parked or driving the pressure slowly drops to around 100 the chirping goes away and starts to build air again. I’ve noticed the chirping will go away immediately if I disconnect the line that runs from the governor to the dryer. Not sure if it’s back feeding air and slowly releasing pressure that way or not are there any thoughts why this could be happening?

One of the times I changed a governor for a S60 Detroit, and I had a high pitched whistle for about 2 seconds before the governor would cut out. I figured out it was the gasket for the governor and learned from my mechanic that this was not uncommon. The noise eventually went away.

Fixed. The 3-4 inch hose in the Air Inlet Port had a small rip on it. ♂️
BoxCarKidd and Lav-25 Thank this.
