City With The Biggest Parking Shortage?

I recently paid $20 to park behind an abandoned restaurant next to an abandoned motel in Chicagoland. I couldn't figure out anywhere to park at 1700 without paying on that side of town.

 

I should state that o rarely get to that Chicagoland area and don't know that area well. I have had luck on I-55 South.

 

I not o.

I live in Charlotte, and you’re right. Parking here is close to non-existent. They opened a Love's on the west side of town a week ago, but I imagine that will be full 24/7. Truckers were parking there before the place was even opened.

 

####....I know I hate that Pilot...had to take a 30 minute break in the fuel isle which I know is disrespectful to other drivers but had no choice.

 

Are you talking about that one right off 77 just inside the 485 loop, that you can only enter from the southbound lanes, that probably some any bigger than a crackerbox? Gawd...had to finish out a 34 there once. Never again. I don't even care for the on-street parking alongside and behind it. That place is a straight-up PITA.

 

The truth be told.
Any city near a highway. That should pretty much cover it. And Walmarts in city's that have a no truck ordinance SUCK.

 

Hell just pull the breaks on the interstate that place is always backedup out the ###
