CLD Instructor had us parking at Truck stops

That’s the way it should be, real world experience.

Was at the Petro in Columbia, SC last week and saw TMC there with a few trucks practicing.

Lol, Saw Stevens at the TA in Terrel, TX but they were practicing pull-through spots

Absolutely Nothing wrong with/parking practicing there....
I was simply pointing out what too many of us here are all to familiar with here and that’s drives parking at fuel pumps...not fueling and using it as a parking space
Which is exactly what CR England’s trainers due at whatever there school is South of Chicago

Excellent real world experience and practice. Dont worry about other drivers having to wait while you get parked. Take as long as you need just as long as you dont hit anything, especially another truck, even more so MY truck... Lol

 

I'm flabbergasted that TA is still open, and that filthy restaurant passes health inspections! FWIW, that one particular stop was NEVER on my short list....

 

Maybe a good trainer.
I used to make people park at a truck stop during the driving test to be hired as experienced driver, you’d be surprised how many had problems.
