First 2 weeks of school over and today started backing on the range.
Other students were complaining about their knees hurting but I actually had to stop and put the shifter into neutral to rest my knee during my parallel parking , I had to let that clutch out ,so much pain.
Can anyone tell me how to stop this severe pain ?
Thanks
Clutch is killing my knee !

Only use the clutch to start going from a stop. Other then that or heavy traffic and backing you dont ever need to use the clutch

They've probably got a old stiff clutch. Or one of them heavy clutches.
I won't swear for all trucks but my replacement options were 1800 lbs and 2200 lbs. 2200 being a stiffer clutch.
I could see 2200 being used for heavy haul but for standard 80k. 1800 is just perfect. And the knees like it too.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
Most driving schools require using the clutch, or double-clutching. Just bare with it until you pass the road test, then you can drive like the rest of us. I know it sucks... it will be over soon enough.

If the clutch is good and adjusted correctly, you should only need to move it about 2 inches to break torque.D.Tibbitt, gentleroger, Texas_hwy_287 and 2 others Thank this. -
