I know several of you frequent the area. I've got a delivery along here next week. I've been through there but think I was in the pickup.

Preferably I'll run south out of Gunnison.

Any guidance? Yes, I have an atlas, I've just seen too many mistakes in it to trust it on mountain roads.

I don't get south of 50 in the truck, but that road is a blast on a motorcycle! It's actually a few miles shorter to go back east and run 114 into the San Luis Valley and come at South Fork from the east, and definitely more truck friendly that way. But 149 is for sure the scenic route, and truck legal, but you'll earn your wages going that way.

Neither one of those are designated hazmat routes if that's an issue.

I know 17 wide, 17-3 tall fits down 149 for at least the first 15 miles. Beyond that I’m not familiar with. That load was a little heavy as well.
