"But it's over 100 degrees in my truck..."

"Too bad, shut your engine off, I have a guy loading your trailer."

"But I removed the glad handles and chocked the wheels. I'm not going anywhere...besides I docked an hour and a half ago and your guy still isn't done...can I come and hang out in your air conditioned office?..."

"Sir! Shut off your engine NOW!."

The nice thing I like about being an owner operator is that I book my own loads, service who I choose to serve.

Coca-Cola in Wilsonville, OR is now on my do not serve list...

I had half a notion to tell her to take their product off my trailer and that I was leaving. However, I figured that wouldn't be fair or go over too well with the broker, especially since it was my first load with their firm ;-)

Their Tempe AZ location will allow idling but the tractor must be pulled ahead of the trailer a few feet first.

They could invest a few dollars into glad hand locks if they're so concerned.
