pretty vague is an understatement
Umm... What kind of coffee maker? Inverter? what kind of truck? Is the inverter wired correctly?
Edit: Do you have an APU?Last edited: Feb 10, 2019

Idle the truck when making coffee...That might work for you.

88 Alpha and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Ya, I have to idle my Truck when running my microwave when heating water for my coffee.
Omega1 Thanks this. -
We used a 2500 watt continuous with about a 3500 surge with a 10 dollar 1000 watt Mr Coffee Pot. No problems.

A 1500 is pretty weak for a coffee pot. The heater element in the pot draws a lot of juice.
flood Thanks this. -
I have a 1500W inverter in my truck. It powers my microwave (700w), my Keurig (1500w initial start, 700w brew), and George Forman compact grill (760w) with no problems. But I also have an APU so it kicks in when needed. I also don't have a lot of 12v stuff plugged in and I have my laptop charger in the inverter when I'm using it with one of the above.
Hence why I was asking questions... -
Someone once mentioned. YOu need to know the wattage the appliance runs. Then double that for the invertor.
Gotta remember there's always a power surge when first kicked on. 1500 might not be enough for that power surge to kickstart that puppy.
There's also the dillema that some appliances won't run on dirty power and you'll need a digital sinewave invertor to solve the dirty power problem. -
How old is the inverter? They tend to get weak after a while, a year and a half or so. Maybe that's just the cheap ones.
Batteries ok? -
