I limit myself to 2 cups in the morning and I'm mildly addicted to caffeine. I can go w/o it but it sucks. I don't see how people can drink a full pot or 2 a day. Talk about a heart attack waiting to happen

It works to just soak grounds in room temp water? It never occurred to me to try that, hot French press is super strong, I guess cold brew French press would be as strong as normal coffee.

I think it really wouldn't matter, whether you soak it at room temperature or in refrigeration. I prepare my coffee every morning, press out todays coffee, clean the press, then prepare tomorrow's coffee and put it in the refrigerator.

I get about a 24 hour brew on average. I've seen some expensive cold brews advertised that they do a 10 hour brew.

Thing is it does take some time to press, pour, clean, then refill the pot. I allow myself a good hour from wake up to clocking in for my pretrip. On the bright side that also allows me to properly wake up and go, "DAYYUMM!!! THAT'S A CUP OF JOE!!!"
