Nine times out of ten I agree with whatever LEOs are doing. It's a miserable job when things are going right and an impossible job when they're not.
In this case I can't find anything to like about the way it was handled. One of the things that makes a good LEO is their ability to think through a problem. That didn't happen here.
I hope every department that has a train track running through their town copies that tape and uses it for a training film.

This is what happens when all you need to get hired is be less than obese a few thousand dollars for the academy and an ego.

More worried about some BS charge and finding evidence than actually serving their community.

They shouldn’t let officer doofy be a beat cop

Here is a little more information:
    1. She was pulled over in an alleged road rage incident
    2. she is seriously injured.
    3. the officers are facing felony reckless endangerment charges or worse.

Sounds like they don’t have much to go on to charge her for but they will anyway. Colorado must have to pull bs charges out of their behinds because the old tried and true possession of pot doesn’t work anymore.

    Agreed 100%

The cops had the benefit of doubt in my mind until they had her out of the vehicle. As soon as she asked what they were arresting her for and the cop refused to answer it was clear that the cops were intent on finding something to charge her with. That's why it didn't occur to them to move off of the RR crossing, they were too worried about finding the crime.

Next time I'm driving through CO, if someone does something I don't like, it's nice to know all I have to do is call the cops and claim that person waved a gun. Then I can go on about my way while all hell rains down on someone just because I don't like them.

    And laughing while doing so.

Never ever park on the tracks for any reason.

And who gives a crap if it took her a moment to pull over, at least she parked safely, unlike the cops who are dumber than a bag of rocks!

Isn't there also a rule about not pulling over until safe to do so.

It is accepted procedure these days for any motorist to continue to a safe location (well lit, near open businesses etc)
Particularly if it is a woman alone (gee can i even say that?)
Just because a vehicle has flashing blue lights doesn't mean it is a legitimate law enforcement officer.

But these clowns kept on saying " she took an awful long time to pull over"
the quality of police officers, just like the quality of many professions, trucking included is declining.
This incident will be used for years in seminars on how NOT to conduct a traffic stop.

I was followed by a cop once with his little light on for a good 2 minutes before I pulled over.
I guess that i could of stopped immediately, but on a narrow hwy with sharp corners there, his life expectancy would have been about 8 seconds.
