Has anyone had the low speed fail in the evap unit? I haven't investigated it yet. I usually just set it on med when I got to sleep.

P.S. This thread should be moved to the Garage. I got lucky and found it in a search.

My fan became sporadic so I replaced the relay I think it is,where the fan plugs into.

Good catch on the thread. I'll move it to the garage.

check oil switch, catch all for system problems.......couple of things being cold, may be using too heavy of oil, not flowing through filter fast enough. I use Mobil 1 synthetic, using 0w40 winter--0W30 summer....got rid of problem and was recommended on 3 cyl engine site...I have had my Comfortmaster since 2007..6500hrs, had my problems at first....keep records, problems what you did to fix..Best person to get problems solved...Tim's Mobil, Colton Ca..They are GOOD! Make sure your fans are also working!!!!! REAR and Bottom left..shuts down after about 170 degrees...

I finally sold mine, and won't recommend a comfort master to any friend.
Now got me a diesel generator.

How about more details on your new setup Flightline.
Do you have it connected to a heating and air setup?
Where'd you get it and how's it installed? Got any pictures?

Sorry for all the questions, but I want to be prepared for the inevitable...

I traded trucks and now have a large sleeper with the 7000 watt generator, controls inside with block heater switch in the bunk area. Generator also tied to the hot water heater which is also heated from big engine heat. Generator also powers the built in cook top. No computer contols, just low oil shutdown and hopefully temp shut down.
Probably uses more fuel than most smaller apu but that not noticeable driving a large car 379 pete.

    Gears Thanks this.

I used a switched relay to give power to the starter and crank side of the fuel pump regulator cylinode. This cylinode has two power wires, one for engaging while cranking and the other for continous run. Also should have a ground wire. If you put continuous power to the engaging side, it will burn it out in about 3-5 minutes.
This switched relay above wired to a monutary switch.
Another switched relay for run. Sending power to the fuel cylinode continous side, also to the fuel pump, also to the the small fan in the bottom. The ground side of this relay, coming from an oil sending unit. Which I took out their oil sending unit, installed an older style ford oil sending unit which was for an idiot light like on the early escorts, and ford ponys.
Engine fan thru a relay grounding from a high temp sending unit from older style Ford escorts engine fans.
More information available if I have totally confused you with my crazy ways of explaining.

I figured out the problem with my low speed on the blower. It's a bad connection in the connector on the back of the APU.

Here's another one for the Comfort Master files...
I just park my truck and the APU pops on. Hmmm I didn't have it set on "auto". I go back in the bunk to turn it off and the control pad is dark. Nada...nothing. APU kept turning off and on, so I finally disconnected it from the batteries. What do you suppose is up with that now?
