There is a smaller company in Ohio that advertises in the Trucking Jobs forum on this site called Romerica. I believe they run mostly Midwest. A couple of people from this site have went to work for them and say good things. I do not, have not personally worked there.

Thanks for the shout out. Indiana is a hot bed for trucking and cheap to live still if your out in the country. To the thread starter, PM me if you decide to head out to the Midwest.

Diapers, paper towels, toilet paper, non-frozen/refrigerated produce, clothing, ... repair parts for everything, appliances...
The list goes on and on.

Reefer is just one side of the much needed supply chain, and not the largest or most critical.
And it will be one of the first to go if things really go south.

Hi there! I am going to get my CDL and possibly relocate from West coast to one the Midwest states (Indiana, Kentucky or Ohio) and work there as OTR truck driver. Even though I am not experienced truck driver (not truck driver at all yet!), I surf this forum and try to look up some info about good trucking companies I can potentially apply to work for in the future. It sounds like you were very satisfied with that trucking company in Evansville, IN. Would you be able to share their contact info with me? Greatly appreciated!

Tennessee has no personal income taxes and plenty of trucking companies to choose from.

If you move to Indiana you are much better being based out of Indianapolis than Evansville. Way more trucking companies in Indy.

    Chinatown and CovaliS Thank this.
