heres my current list of all the companies ive reached out to and what i was told.
my felonies are 3 drug possessions with a disposition date of 2018 but an actual charged date of around 2011 and i have a driving on suspended with a similar status of 2018 disposition but from like 2012, currently based out by Springfield Missouri

Frankly, it's the wrong time for someone with your history to be trying to get into trucking. With economic situation and the lack of freight, it'll be very difficult, if not impossible, for you to get started. It's just my opinion. And I hope you can prove me wrong.
Puppage, tscottme and BobbyJanky Thank this. -
I would look at local small companies in agriculture or dirt. Are you willing to move? Lots of companies in Utah and Idaho have current signs looking for CDL drivers. Most would be local or regional. I got lucky and my wife knew an owner of the company I'm working for. He took chance on me right out of prison, still on home confinement. That was 4 years ago. I'm now their lead driver, in a new truck and trailer making over 6 figures. They gave me a chance and I proved I would outwork anyone and do anything they asked happily. Id recommend network ask everyone you know who they might know, helps get the interview. Easier to do with a small company. Ag and dirt are often local or regional and you can get some experience then move on to bigger and better.

You don't say whether or not you already have a CDL....or how old you are....but, with that in mind...you are having serious issues with CDL employment becuz:
- as stated above -- the CDL job market is... generally speaking....already in the toilet
- You've applied/spoken to the above carriers while coming into/during freight's overall slow season
- Recruiters are seeing that '2018' date -- & that year is probably right on the fence for many carriers for felonies; also, it appears you have more than one conviction for the same offense -- & for carriers looking to bring in fresh recruits -- this is indeed scary stuff.

Did you try for Western Express flatbed? You may have a better chance if you try fir their flatbed division.

Based on what I'm seeing in the CDL job market -- flatbed carriers are starting to hire now -- as they get ready for things to pick up more in the spring.
I see Maverick Transportation aggressively trying to hire...in several locations. They have a points system they assign to recruits with a criminal history, and they may just be worth a shot.
Suggestion: fill out a completed application on their website -- but provide no more info than specifically requested.
Maverick Transportation -- hires inexperienced drivers with criminal histories (on a case-by-case basis) -- Willard, MO
Wait about a week after submitting your app -- & call them (if you haven't heard from them, already) -- & ask about the status of your application.
Good luck....

You would probably make more money, and get hired faster for a Class B job. Propane, dump trucks, garbage man. Unless you have to live in a truck right now, if I were you I’d look for class B jobs.

Propane ----> hazmat endorsement req'd...which for someone like the original poster can be messy/expensive time-wise.
The flatbed suggestion requires NO endorsements....& can be a path to much better-paying gigs, later.
