Stevens Transport:
Detroit CDL Training
Our approved Detroit CDL Training Location:
6500 15 Mile Rd | Sterling Heights, MI 48312
Our approved partner, US Truck Driving School, starts a new training class every Monday. Classes are held Monday through Friday, and new drivers get a total of 160 hours of training time. After completing the program and obtaining your CDL, Stevens will pay for your transportation to our Headquarters in Dallas, Texas to attend orientation. All drivers are required to attend new hire orientation. Upon successful completion of orientation, you will become an employee of Stevens Transport and added to the professional driver payroll. Our goal is to help you have a long lasting financially successful career as an award-winning professional driver at Stevens Transport.
Upon completion of your Over the Road Training, you will be assigned your own equipment and will start being paid on a per mile basis. First year drivers have an average yearly income of $50,000 with third year drivers earning approximately $70,000. After completing the Over the Road Training Program, you can take your career in a variety of different directions including: Dedicated Driver, Regional Driver, Tanker Driver, Independent Contractor, or Owner/Operator.Puppage Thanks this. -
Schneider, Swift and Amazon all paid for students in my local 160 hr CDL school. A few of us paid out of pocket, others were funded by a state program called WIOA (I think that’s what it’s called anyway).
Call your local school - they would be able to set you up with sponsoring, funding or loans if that’s the route you want to take.bubba96 Thanks this.
