    I totally agree.

I drove an 04 international with a cummins and a super 10 for an owner operator at crst during training. We were getting around 6 mpg. And i was told to run the speed limit..no matter what it was. And to crank it up 5 over to pass people. Every once in a while he'd wake up and be like "WHY YA GOIN 80?!?!" in west texas..lol. "passing a company truck!"

I was also told to always keep it over 15 and dont shift til its at 19! if its under 15 you're luggin it!

It wasn't geared right for the speeds we were running either. Could have had better MPG. Could have shifted at 15 too. LOL.

    Not necessarily.

VERY TRUE!!! But they have a lot of people that don't know any better brain washed into thinking that they're saving fuel by having no power and running like slugs.

You'd have gotten better mileage if you'd have kept the RPM down whenever it was reasonable to do so.

    They are...

    Wrong!

Sounds good! I LOVE Albuquerque! Beautiful place! Who knew they had beaches there, too?

I was told by a trainer they did 70. I have seen some do 65 and some do well above 70.

    BlackW9,

Thank you for clarifying some of this. A lot of o/o's who do 70 or above know their trucks real well. A lot of o/o's on here can explain more.
