    Hello!
Hubby was on his way towards home with his load, when he saw he was supposed to pull into a weight station...he did!... although he saw the line was long, and he had to pee, so he got out and did so...
The weight station guys were angry about it, and so gave him a ticket, saying it was a "failure to stop"
They also complained his air cables were damaged (they weren't)...
So hubby spoke to his company and they reviewed his dash cam footage, which proved the charges false....
They decided to fight the ticket with a lawyers help....
Hubby paid about $400 in lawyers fee...
    Everything seemed ok...
But now the company has charged him $300 extra, saying it's "company policy" to charge this for any infringements
THEY KNOW HE WAS INNOCENT!!! Yet they still want to get away with charging him, and even though they fought the ticket off!
    Is this even LEGAL??!!

I'm about 300% sure one of the the pieces of paper your husband signed gave his consent to this company policy and his claiming "but I didn't read what I signed" will not change anything. NOT EVERY QUESTION is a legal question. It may be legal if your husband gave consent when he started working or if he gave his consent to notice that company policies may be changed by the company without prior notice.

The only question I would focus on is does husband want to keep the job or try and change companies. Chances are the $300 is coming out of his pay one way or another no matter how anyone feels about it.

Well I guess the CEO is lucky your husband isn't one of those company drivers that would take it personal and accidentally misjudge how much coolant, oil, wipers etc that needs to be kept as emergency reserves.

    The cycle continues...

    oshawasue and mitrucker Thank this.

If he was in line with the other trucks, where did he get out to pee?
Did he pull to the shoulder, pee on the ground and then get back in line?

Wargames, tscottme and Kyle G. Thank this.

Not the dash cam...hubby took the truck to the company mechanics, to have them looked at after the incident.

    Kyle G. Thanks this.
