Con-way changed the service ring program a year after I was hired and are reniging on awarding me the GOLD ring they told me when they hired me that I'd receive at 360,000 miles, so I've decided to just buy one myself.

So, if anyone has a GOLD service ring for sale, I'm interested. Message me!

 

I have no idea what you're talking about!

I have driven the required miles for the gold ring they promised me when I was hired.

But a year after they hired me, they started handing out "participation trophies" in the form of a worthless stainless steel ring at 120,000 miles and then adding worthless diamonds every 120,000 miles thereafter.

So, I have a stainless steel ring with 2 diamonds, but I want the GOLD ring that they promised me.

But, since they won't honor their commitment, I'm just gonna buy my own if I can find one.

 

I've had multiple conversations with the Director of Safety and the President and neither will honor the commitment.

They're more concerned with recruiting than they are retention. So, they'd rather give out the participation trophies to guys that are only there for a year.

The rings were never based on years, only miles.

Now you have to have 1 Million accident free miles to get a GOLD ring.

I wish you had gotten yours so you could sell it to me.

They changed the program effective 01/01/13 from a GOLD ring at 360,000 miles to a stainless steel ring at 120,000.

You had to already have 240,000 miles as of 01/01/2013 in order to forgo the stainless steel ring and receive a GOLD ring at 360,000 miles.

In other words, the only people grandfathered in were those who had been with the company at least 2 years as of 01/01/13.

So, they promised GOLD rings to people who had no chance of meeting the criteria to be grandfathered into the GOLD ring program.
