Thought I would start this as a new thread just to make it more visible.
Don't expect any replies. Information only.

I have no information on this job. I just saw the add on the local Craigslist.
    Here is the URL http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/trp/4057982760.html

If that doesn't work go Craigslist las vegas nv and look under transport.
    Good luck to anyone interested.

Seen the same add from time to time in DFW Craigslist. Don't have a clue if it's legit or not.

You drive all night, unload, setup everything, sleep during the concert, tear everything down and go to the next show. You truck has to be kept spotless, polished and clean inside. The co usually pays for motels and meals but it's an endless, maybe 6 mo grind of motels, crappy fast food and bad coffee. Ever see Rebas entourage? At one time I think it was 22 trucks.

Definitely seems like a boring job. I don't like to stop much but when I want to I do so. That one simple pleasure is a must.

Keep in mind, when you do that celebrity trucking, your just part of the equipment & expendable. I've known a few of those drivers when I lived in Nashville & I wouldn't even consider working for celebrities after seeing those drivers health problems. The only dirver I know that was treated like family was the driver for Conway Twitty; but even that driver can no longer pass a DOT physical and now has a pacemaker.

I thought about hauling for a celebrily or even being the bus driver but being gone 6 months or longer isn't my thing.

I am hoping to investigate upstaging in a few years..I think they require 3-5 .I only have about six months. I met a couple of their drivers in Ohio this spring..nice gear

One of those drivers I know, who quit a while back, was a real character. Without going into details, I will say, the celebrity was very popular with the women, and this driver would tell the women, no one meets the celebrity unless they go through him first & most fell for it. He also carried a checkbook he didn't use, the account was closed long ago. He kept it looking current with over a million dollar fake balance in it. He would leave it so the women would sneak a look, so he had a long list of lovers chasing this fake millionaire. He was quite a guy! Care free and enjoying it.

We changed his CB Radio handle to "Checkbook", which he didn't care for at all.

Nashville is a cool smaller city to live in. The truckstop in the center of the city is within walking distance of the nightclubs and the football staduim.
