Great writing, I intend to follow your thread. I especially like the turns of phrase you use ,"I expect no expectations and offer no magic beans." was my fav so far.

536 miles today, from NM/TX border to Quartzite AZ, with one live unload and one drop and hook. 240 miles to LA tomorrow for a live unload and then home for six days. My live unload today was a prototype vehicle for Nissan, turned out to be a 2015 Sentra.

Lol the strangest load today. Had a live unload and a drop loaded trailer at the same customer. I was like, huh? Turns out that the shipper determined that one pallet weighing 276 lbs was critical for some reason. So I was supposed to back in the door, have them unload one pallet, then pull out of the door and drop the remaining 40000 lbs of product on their yard lol.

Consignee had no idea why this was the case and the 80 some pieces of makeup or whatever it was isn't that important and they didnt bother unloading anything, just had me drop the whole thing.

Perhaps the one pallet was a higher dollar amount that needed to be kept track of. You should have had extra pay for the drop after the live unload, do't know if they pay you this way or not. Most companies you have to turn macro's in, so it is according to what you did or they want I guess.

I'm curious, did they make you do the simulator? When I clipped my fairing on the treebranch in my driveway they considered that a slow maneuver accident and made me do the slow maneuver training on the sim. Between that and doing it in my initial training with Schneider I could do that course in my sleep LOL.
