In just about every other state in the lower 48, the sign reads "Trucks prohibited in left lane". Okay, I get that. No left lane for me. When I was up in CT/MA the sign read "Trucks prohibited from left lane". Wait, so wouldn't that mean trucks aren't allowed in any other lane except the left lane? 'in the left lane' implies not being in that particular lane 'from the left lane', to me, implies not being in any other lane except that lane. They word things funny up there...
It's like, second to last, or, next to last. Second to last to me means there is one between you and the last, not that you're next to the last.
Neat observation, Sequoia! Being raised among and still living in the Berks County "dutchie" area, I've always enjoyed the regional dialects. Thanks for posting this... and any other ya'll may find!
Speed limit enforced by aircraft; I'm always looking for a Cobra or an Apache gun ship. Speed electronically/radar controlled, or words to that effect.; ya don't say, I thought the LEO would be running alongside me. Speed limit 65, , that's not even a viable suggestion! Big Ol' when in fact it's a little new whatever!!LOL
How about "Slow company trucks prohibited from driving in left lane!" There are some of us that can step out and get with the program!
the one i always liked (in a construction zone...) "water on road when raining"....... HHMMmmmm...... unless we have canopy's all over our highway system.......
