    I'm pretty excited!

Some reasons I ultimately chose Stevens Transport:
    • While it's no secret that their pay is low compared to a lot of other starter companies, I read a lot of good things about the amount of miles they give you. In the end, it's the miles that matter; not the pay rate. EDIT: I get it, higher pay rate and less miles could get me the same money. But as a newbie, the miles are what counts.
    • They have beautiful trucks!
    • I can attend a school that is within driving distance of my home (Greater Detroit Area). So I don't have to pay for a hotel or even pay them back for that later.

Now I just have to wait for a call from the CDL school to schedule a tour.

Corporal_Clegg, KMac and joseph1135 Thank this.

In all fairness congratulations. But demand your mileage pay to be .33 or higher.

They also have one of the absolute best training programs in the business. No matter how long you stay - and stay long enough to pay off your contract; they mean it! - the skills you are about to learn will help you no matter where you go.

Good luck and enjoy your new experience!
