Contract to own truck and trailer ...??

    I'm interested in an idea and want to poke around the idea by asking drivers their opinion. I've been a driver for year and half and I'm getting around to saving up more trucks and trailers. Rather than pay a driver by the mile to work like a chump. I'm more interested in the idea of contract to own for drivers that want to be independent out on the road.

    Contract to own truck and trailer. Basically you make 42 payments on the equipment and in return you own the rig. Who would be interested in this kind of deal? Especially considering you'll own the trailer. I would imagine drivers would be beating down my door for this deal.

    Pre emission truck. Maybe something before 2000 to keep away from ELD crap. Just nice and old school. 1,500 for the truck per month & 650 for the trailer monthly.
