I see what LW is saying I too would rather sit at the house and worry about resetting my hrs when at ten available on 70 at the end of the week not start out that way. Hey you a ya you a come to work sit with out pay do a half a days work stay till 5 then come in tomorrow. I don't know think a dispatcher would stay if that happened to them on a regular basis. Im in w. Memphis looking good if any one cares waiting on a load me self.

I enjoyed the extra day with family, ran 2 long nights, and am sitting here with time for a 34 hour restart. It's funny how when I told him on my last QC message I would be more than happy to talk to a supervisor about the issue this guy suddenly dropped the issue. Will be glad when my normal manager gets back off his vacation.

Sitting in line @ the border in Detroit, headed to Taylor and doing a 34 hr reset. Ran Canadian hours 2 days straight and killed my 70 hr clock but ran great miles

Yup, I honestly don't mind the slow season that much. My gripe was (1) Wanting me to babysit a load for an ungodly amount of time (I keep the door closed and plan my trips), then (2) the fill in I have this week getting an attitude with me. Honestly, while it isn't ideal I can "live" on about 1800-2000 miles a week, that doesn't mean I want to but it is what I can handle.

Just parked after running 640 miles of this 656 mile load that delivers 55 hours from now. And I just came off a reset Thursday morning. Trying to get the planners to pull this thing off of me and get me back running. And no I did not run the miles and then speak up. I informed my FM that there was way too much time on this load as soon as I got the DH dispatch to pick up the load.

Yea, that's a 2 day run MAX. I know it's the slow season, but load planners need to learn to plan loads. That or begin paying layover for babysitting. Alot I like about Con-Way, but if this is the way they are going to be I will be looking at other work back with a reefer outfit.

are you conway drivers having trouble getting miles? me, ive been averaging about 2200 miles a week for the past 6 months with conway, and as of lately, ive been getting even less than that. also, my truck is in the shop again, and on average, it is in the shop about twice a month. each time its in the shop means at least 3 days off(or a full week off a month). my last 2 paychecks were less than $500.00. i have spoken with my fm about getting more miles and i am going to ask road service for a new truck... the pay as a result is not even a living wage.. cant take much more of this.. living on $1500.00 a month is something that i can no longer do. i really hope things change soon..
