If you want to be healthy and never have to worry about dot physicals then you got to start cooking your own real food on the truck. Eating at any of the truck stops or even the restaurants is not healthy. Taking vitamin pills and medications from your doctor is definitely not going to make you healthy.

This was a manager's special at the grocery store across the street from the truck stop so i had to cook it quick, but you got to admit this is better than anything you could buy from pilot flying j. beef 33.jpg

Yeah, I don't like the grease splatter inside the truck. But yeah, better than anything in a TS.

If that is the case, there is always the truck stop shower room...

Steak has fat for your arteries. Try chicken or fish. Better heart health.

I eat over a pound of red meat a day, and my arteries are in perfect shape. Blood pressure of 110 over 71 and i take no pills what so ever. The only time i visit a doctor is for my two year dot physical.

I know we have been told all our lives that fat is unhealthy, but i believe otherwise. It is sugar and processed foods that are the things that clog your arteries.

You are absolutely correct. I was testing you. The fat from a steak is for food brain health

I would agree that we have been given bad info on food and eating habits, but I think some people take it too far.

Especially carnivore. Being healthy isn't about being skinny or losing weight (though losing weight is still the #1 factor in changing how long you live).

Personally, lean meats not cooked in fats. No processed foods, a fruit and vegetable every day, and healthy fats. Yes, I eat carbs and whole grains too.

I back up my diet and it's effect with a full blood work up 2-4 times a year. I'm not guessing or believing popular FB or YT creators. I have dialed this in, for me anyway.

If that means no medications or supplements and you are in good health, then i see no reason to stop what you are doing. For me eating this way cured my snoring, got me down to 32 inch jeans, and all my knee pain from acl surgery is finally gone. I have never felt as good as i do in my late 40s than any previous time in my life. I can go for days without eating, or even drinking water and still feel good.
