I wanted to experience what it's like so that I can be sure that I'll like the job.

good luck with that:biggrin_25523:...do you have a family member who drives? or maybe a friend? of a friend?..getting someone to share thier home away from home with a complete stranger is going to be a tuffy..i can tell you now it will have to be with a owner operator and not a company driver due to insurance reasons..maybe you can try posting this in the owner operator section..you never know..good luck to you

Maybe you should just start small and get in an Expediter Van and see how you like life on the road.

Yeah, there is still no way to really know. Even if you ride with another driver for a week or two, you'll still not have much of an idea of what you're getting into.

I used to hitch-hike a lot when I was college age and rode with some truckers back then. I still had no idea what it was really like until I started driving on my own.

    lupe Thanks this.
