I know there is a lot of questions out there about this but I have not found what i need to know. I just got diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and got to get the CPAP machine. I am getting it hopefully next week. I am fixing to go to School and got to get my DOT physical done. Do I need to wait to get the physical and go to school so my CPAP has enough percentages or can i go in and let them know I just getting the machine. I am in the mild area of sleep apnea not moderate or severe.

I've had a CPAP machine for over 8 years now, what a wonderful invention! Just got a new fancy model a month back. I get even better sleep.
To your question. Each year when I renew my medical card, the question about "Sleep Apnea" is "when where you diagnosed and what are you doing to mitigate the symptoms". You fill in the diagnosis date (recent for you) and "I'm using a CPAP machine" is sufficient.
The biggest concern you'll have is to make sure you have an appropriate adapter for the truck - so your machine will run (obviously)... -
Ok thank you. Yea I did feel better after I slept with it at the sleep center. I have already talked to them about the model that has both plugs for travel and home. Thanks for your reply.
glitterglue Thanks this.
