Just loose weight, get exercise-get healthy and you won't depend on some machine to give you proper sleep.
Saw trucker 2 days ago. It was walking, no wait it was crawling walrus. He was so fat that he couldn't move his feet to walk. He just bobbled his way to the truck. If he would exercise and stop eating buffet he'd be better off.

While weight has something to do with it but people like me who weigh 135 and having sleep apnea, weight was never a factor.

you might want to rethink some of your comments. Sleep Apnea typically isn't weight related. Like in my case I have a deviated septum. I am not in a severe state like most, so I don't use a CPAP. Probably could get mine fixed with nasal endoscopy. But regardless. There are MANY reasons for sleep apnea. To say it's due to weight, well, just wrong.

Does a healthy weight help people to avoid certain issues. Of course.

Mismatch likes to troll on here, what he says doesn't make any sense most of the time.

Why do they weigh you to get BMI, measure your neck size and inspect your throat? Overweight people are much more likely to have sleepapnea. I'm not saying skinny people can't have it. There's skinny people that can have it cause of other issues.
I'm saying that MOST overweight people can have sleepapnea and its controlled by exercise/diet

i have never needed that machine. but one day as i was watching tv, i saw a commercial on CPAP cleaning machines. i was not aware that they needed to be cleaned. do you have such a cleaner for yours?

the one i see on tv looks like a tank of some sort to put the mask into along with the hose?

are there other ways to clean a CPAP machine?

now i am seeing more commercials for the cleaning devices.

up until then, i never gave any of that a thought.
