That kind of snow will still be there a week on, and it will be ice and much harder to remove.
Best to get rid of it ASAP

Got to give her props anyway . -
Wasn't the whole point of this thread to showcase a driver that made a bad decision?
Probably several bad decisions that led to that video.
The company does not even matter. We have all seen CRE do bad things, just like Swift and CRST and UPS and FedEx. Not to mention all the great and bountiful O/Os out there making the same mistakes.
If it is best to get rid of it ASAP, then all drivers need to stay off the roads so that the road crews can actually do the work of removing that stuff ASAP.
We only get in the way of that, if we are out there driving on it.Trucker61016, rachi, bentstrider83 and 2 others Thank this. -

Trucker61016, D.Tibbitt and Opus Thank this. -
Atleast he's clearing a path to the tow hooks, more effort than you see outta most new guys.
D.Tibbitt and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
Or be like that one guy in KY who used a torch to blast all the snow off his property. Just don't aim it at the truck.
Winter clothes, check.
Minimal tools, check.
Chains to get you to a stop point, check.
Flame on? Definitely check!!

When you're driving through a section of interstate highway with the highest average snowfall per year in the United States during a winter storm, it's not a good idea to pull over and take your 10 hour (or even a 1 hour) break. This is the result. I live 3 hours from there and I don't go anywhere near that area when storms are coming through. It's just not worth the hassle.
Trucker61016, Moosetek13, Powder Joints and 6 others Thank this.
