That kind of snow will still be there a week on, and it will be ice and much harder to remove.

Best to get rid of it ASAP

Trying to drive through it will not get rid of it any faster.

Wasn't the whole point of this thread to showcase a driver that made a bad decision?
Probably several bad decisions that led to that video.

The company does not even matter. We have all seen CRE do bad things, just like Swift and CRST and UPS and FedEx. Not to mention all the great and bountiful O/Os out there making the same mistakes.

If it is best to get rid of it ASAP, then all drivers need to stay off the roads so that the road crews can actually do the work of removing that stuff ASAP.
We only get in the way of that, if we are out there driving on it.

I went through it no problem BUT I did know the forecast before I started. Knew I had time to get over and back before it hit hard. I go over Donner almost daily so a bit of local knowledge probably helps. This driver had no clue what was coming and that is what happens to the clueless

When you're driving through a section of interstate highway with the highest average snowfall per year in the United States during a winter storm, it's not a good idea to pull over and take your 10 hour (or even a 1 hour) break. This is the result. I live 3 hours from there and I don't go anywhere near that area when storms are coming through. It's just not worth the hassle.
