I talked to a distant cousin tonight that has been driving since Nixon was President. He's been with his current company for 15 yrs. Same dedicated run the entire time. Runs Sunday-Thursdays. Happy as a lark. Very similar gig as Poly in that he drives for a manufacturer and gets brokered home or even deadheaded back home to Alabama from New York. 45 trucks total.

Good luck SSB on whatever you're up to:biggrin_25525:

I guess I was lucky today. On the way to the cons I got a pre-plan! Made it to the cons in Pevely, MO and I was unloaded in less than 30 minutes:biggrin_25521:. Hop over to the shipper in St. Louis and it was a drop/hook but it was a haz-mat load so I got to call in and answer the questions. I hung around for my 30 minute break then off I went. Sitting in Kuttawa, KY and should make it to the cons by 1400 tomorrow. Thing is the del appt. is 0700 Friday. I have been running so hard that when MT on Friday I will have about 5 hours left for Friday and Saturday:biggrin_25511:

But I will have 3454miles for the week:biggrin_255:

I made it to Marietta and got the qualcom box exchanged but now I have no way of getting to the HOS section. The wrench turner said it should update and all will be well. After about 4 hours it finally did re-boot and it showed an update tutorial but still the HOS section is dead. I guess I will call Lincoln logs (haha) dept. and hopefully they will know. Good thing is I have just been sitting here at the terminal because I'm out of hours anyway.

Sort of a treat today. Got to go through a small section of Yellowstone (tiny part of northwest corner) on US-191:

Arrived at P&G Tunkhannock at noon Friday for what I thought was a drop and hook going to Albany GA by2300 Saturday. Naturally load wasn't ready, P&G blamed Crete dispatch and said it would be ready at 2300. At 0100 load is "in the door, but not started yet".
Kind of wishing I had checked on it before I drank all that coffee.

Irony - Crete planning. I asked to be routed to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for some personal business, where do they send me?????....Marcy, NY. Then to the glass plant over by Waterloo, NY headed to Inlay City, MI. I bet if I were scheduled for a sleep study, a DFW load would have been the very 1st load out of the house. But I'm still smiling

I've only been thru there once, went up to Three Forks, MT to pick up a load of talc going to TN. I still say the west has some of the most beautiful scenery.
