    Crete says they want you to run legal, but somehow delivering on your break doesn't interrupt a 10 hour break. As one driver said, you can break the rules they tell you to break.

    freaking load planners for Crete must be Werner rejects

    A drivers sleep is more important than anything.
    It's one thing when you want to mess up a drivers sleep schedule, it's another when you book him a 500 mile run picking up at 6am delievering at 10PM

    They try that every so often on me, doin dry van. I just tell em I don't have the hours. Havent had to argue much about not sleep in at customers, just once, and I have em a firm NO. It was at a RockTen. A stinky one too... Luckily the load finished and I got out of there with pretty much no time to spare, lol.

    The one thing they tried on me when I told them I didn't have the hours was they told to call my terminal manager and have them explain how to do a log book...until I explained that I had been doing log books before most of our terminal managers knew what a truck was, let alone read a 'log books for dummies' manual to learn how to do it themselves.

    My miles for March were..... 5,628. Which ain't too bad with 8 days broke down and 10 at home.

    I had 9,626 in March....average for the year is 9,999 per month.
