Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

Question - do you see any difference in weekly miles when you run off recap as opposed to a new 70? And what do you prefer?

 

This week was all recap and i had 2850 miles plus one unload. That's over $1000.00 after taxes. Not too bad.

 

I really cant complain I grossed 47K not too bad I probably
of made 55K if I would stayed out 6-7 weeks but I am not going to do that anymore
just not worth it in my opinion
I am hoping for 55K this year

 

I am having eye surgery in 2 weeks and wont be able to drive when I get it done
so I am hoping I can make what I did last year

 

All ive seen here in Connecticut is Shaffer drivers. Make that money.

Logs,tickets,dot inspections,the usual.Log department is crazy,no show full 15min pre trip for 5 days at the end of the month(10 points),not enough on duty time(8 points)

 

I was up to 36 points for forgetting to turn in logs on time when I was on paper... that was all nearly 2 years ago.

Now I'm at -3.

 

No way would I do paper logs for Crete, lol. They scrutinise them more than the DOT ever would...
