Waiting for International to get around to looking at my truck, they said this afternoon/evening. Got a call from my terminal "offering" a chance to go recover a truck in Michigan and take it to Indy because it has clutch problems. I declined, and was (politely) reminded the breakdown pay would be stopping and if I need a motel it'll be my problem. Hoping they get this thing going tonight.

They lied to you, they'll stop the breakdown pay after they offer you a different truck, BUT WILL pay for the hotel longer.

New Kingstown seems to be pretty aggressively trying to limit breakdown charges to 48 hours. They didn't offer me a different truck, just the chance for another long bus ride.

    Yes.
I don't mind doing something while I wait, but I'm thinking a regen filter shouldn't take all that long to fix and I just did the all day bus ride to recover a truck that promptly breaks down thing last month.

Oh I'm with you I think they try to get drivers to do things cheap or for free all the time most carriers, if they really wanted it done they would pay you $20 an hour and give you a plane ticket

Might not be her fault, I think there was a Facebook post that they're having problems at Qualcomm and some messages were not getting through.
