After the last Ohio debacle I #####ed about here earlier it took about a day and a half to get my next load (to SC). I just emptied out here an hour ago and was greeted with a preplan right away... A rollstock load going right back to Ohio. Tomorrow morning even though I have plenty of hours to run tonight. Delivered in 3 days even though it was a 600 mile run. I didn't even bother with the Qualcomm this time. I called Lincoln, was told by our awesome night shift that there was no other freight and that the load planner was at lunch. I called back 30 mins later, talked directly with the load planner and not 3 minutes later I have a nice lightweight load picking up in 2 hours going to Wyoming. 1600 miles in those same 3 days. Moral of the story: The squeaky wheel gets greased (or something like that). Also, don't listen to night shift.

I grew up out east. It's all I knew for the first 28 years of my life. And due to some more recent, unforseen events in my life, I no longer enjoy most of the places on that side that I used to enjoy. PA was once my absolute favorite place. Since my paternal grandmother passed away, it's been just another place...these days I just get depressed when I go there, especially the eastern central part. There are very few places which I used to immensely enjoy when I was younger that I still enjoy today. I still manage to somewhat enjoy running I-81, but that's about it.
I'm just sick of the eastern half at this point. If I never saw anything east of US 87 again, I would be just fine.Last edited: Jul 23, 2015

My AM stimulated WW3 and then took vacation this week. Not to worry, seems just about everyone in Lincoln is well trained in the fine art of escalation. I'm firmly entrenched and not budging one iota.

Btw...I musta' missed something...what's up Lincoln's buttocks? Or should we not ask in an open public forum that they've been known to parooze occasionally.Last edited: Jul 23, 2015

Some may recall that the primary reason I left the 1st time was for Lincoln's unwillingness to get me through my house in Montana to check on it. I went to a company that would and did. I was strongly recruited back by Crete. I received an email from an Ops official Guaranteeing that they would route me through my property in Montana once per year And that I could Also request hometime in SLC if I needed to visit my property More than once per year. This was not a hometime condition at my property so they do not have the burden of finding shippers or consignee in the area. Merely a load crossing through Whitehall, Montana (I-90) so that I could divert the 17 miles south to check my property and be back on my way. After giving Crete and Shaffer 9 months of service, I finally told them my wife and I want to get through our property this trip. Well I did not get the "Will Do" response that I require. I got the same : "That's hard to do", "We'll do the best we can" type of noncommittal responses just like before. That triggered the "Yes you will", "No is not an option", "You will honor your commitment" type of responses from me. And prompted me to place an 8/1/15 deadline. My loads out of the house were Tampa to Mobile and then Mobile to Cedar Falls, Iowa. Then they sent me a load from Cedar Rapids to Ft Wayne. Wrong direction but I thought maybe they were positioning me. But as I was approaching Chicago, I got a preplan to pickup in Ft Wayne going to Hagerstown. That is when the $!#% officially hit the fan. I called in and some heads got bitten off. Now I am waiting to pickup a load in Whitestown, Indiana going to Wisconsin and preplanned on a load picking up in Minnesota going to Billings, MT. Which is still 200 miles east of my property.

I guess they could have told you to #### off, at least they're excerting some effort to get you out there.
But then it probably sucks to have to fight to get out to your land.Dinomite Thanks this. -
