Don't quit under that circumstance...make them fire you. The reason, it'll make them pay unemployment, and they hate that. Kinda a final "F you" to their management.

I thought ya'll were going Freightliner. Or is that just for the solo drivers, the team/trainer trucks are still Prostars. I'm sitting here in N Vernon Lowe's bobtail lot and there is a NEW Crete Prostar. It's new because it isn't Maxxfarce powered, has the new style aero grill on the 'no-idle' sidebox and has the set back fuel tanks. Although it looks like a shorter wheelbase then they use to be. There is almost no room between the 1/4 fender, empty chain rack and side skirt bracket.

    What a miserable, inept company.
As soon as I get somewhere with internet I can use my laptop with, will post the crap I've been through the last week.
Just one suggestion, start new threads at the 'crete' forum instead of burying posts in one long generic thread. They'll show up better on the search engines, and there is a slight chance they will change something.

Bad news...they don't care what we say. I had been posting the good, bad and ugly....they read it, they know about this and other forums like it, knew who I was by name and yet 5 years later...they keep doing things the same screwed up way. Their answer to why things are like that, "because that's the way things are done here, if you don't like it, leave"...that's how they keep things moving, the experienced high per mile drivers leave, they hire cheaper new drivers. So I helped make them more money, I left...

Well, I hate to keep tooting my company horn, but....tooooooot-tooooooot. Been with Poly 5 months tomorrow...every piece of load info has been correct. Of course, their q/comm system doesn't have directions, or even load info. It's there for looks mostly. We actually talk to our people when getting our loads. In some cases, we the drivers, set the appointments based on when we are able to deliver, not when some 'no driving' desk jockey thinks we should be there.

the info is not being posted in a manner that the search engines will eat it up in the best manner.
A long thread of general complaints usually means people won't bother to read it. Multiple threads about specific complaints and problems, are better.
That doesn't mean they will care, but if it means they have more trouble getting warm bodies, it may mean some temporary changes.

Oh, just had to call the lincoln office.

The music being played on hold was 'send in the clowns'.
I was afraid I had been directed to the recruiting line by mistake.

    :)

    That's funny.

The next on the playlist was the callipoe theme. Da da dada la da daada.

I called Crete's HR dept. to find out who I had to talk to and at what number to get the process of cashing out my profit sharing when I hit my 6 mos. anniversary of being gone. Of course, she gave me the wrong number. The number put me in touch with the person at Union Bank that use to handle Crete's accounts....over a year ago.

April will be my one year anniversary of leaving Crete Carrier and I couldn't be any happier to be away from those controlling a-holes. They micro manage every aspect of your life. I would be a mop man at an adult bookstore before I would ever work for Crete Carrier again. I am making more money home more in the last 9 months than I was in my last 2.5 years with Crete combined. Everytime I see a CCC truck I get a huge smile on my face. But, I do feel sorry for the poor guy who is working for them.

My ol' trainer got a new Cascadia double bunker. Since he's Schaffer he even got a blue one.
It's my understanding the new ProStars are ISX Cummins engines again but with DEF this time. They're getting more of the P/S's but I only saw Cascadias at Wilmer and KC had all P/S's.

Since they're pretty much the same as our Poly trucks(only with 2 beds and a little better interior...and dual tires)I wonder if Crete's new DEF ISX PS's are having the weight issues ours are. Our new trucks are having issues with being over 12k on the steers bobtail, which is a Poly no-no.
