I know supersnackbar will be thrilled to hear this, but I had my first experience dealing with the weekend staff today and I think it may have caused me to have permanent brain damage. I'm not sure. I mean you type up a simple question and their response is they ask you the same question you just asked instead of answering your question. Ended up refusing two pplans I probably could have taken out of frustration cause I couldn't get a straight answer. Eventually, I finally got a pplan that was cut and dry that I ended up accepting, but not until after 5 hours of enormous brain damage first. Whew that was rough. My new goal is to never have to deal with the weekend staff ever again. They remind me too much of when I worked for FFE.

They actually wanted to work on the truck. I got the scoop on the percent of drivers that manage to get a raise, it's low. Real low.
I wanted to be home on Sunday, I tcalled a load at Indy on Saturday. But that's too far to deadhead home, 180 miles, finally they found a 230 mile run that delivered Sunday afternoon. That would have been 140 miles from home, but way too much sitting time on it. Hindsight, I could have swung by home with it before I delivered. But I ended up with a load to Texas, I'm getting unloaded now and it is perfect down here. Sunny and 70 degrees.
Maybe I can get home next Sunday.

When I hauled 'friggy' freight, long unloads, at all hours of the day was par for the course.

I am very familiar with pulling reefer, even though it has been years, I have a memory like an elephant and the days I spent waiting for meat/produce to get ready is NOT something I will ever do again. just my 2 cents ! (If I had to choose between flat or reefer it would be FLAT)

the one thing I did like about it over dry was when I forgot to put my soda's in the cooler...I just loaded some in my mesh laundry bag, opened the peep door, clipped it to the crossbar and waited a little while...when hauling the -10 stuff, the trick was to remember I had it in there so I didn't blow soda all over my freight :biggrin_2551:

haha I passed by there today. I waved...:yes2557:

Had my first trip to Laredo today. Austin traffic sucks!@&%$, But it's all behind me now. Sitten in Wacko TX for the night on my way to Groveport, OH. A very nice 1600 miler and it's timed darn well for 02/20 midday. Hoping to make W. Memphis in time for a B service and if early enough maybe a T1 on this trlr I've been dragging around the last two trips. Should be good for a shower or maybe two.
