Tuff crowd. I know my OE drivers seat failed on the exit side due to drivers not dropping the seat to exit. To me its possible to have the cushion giving way if the weighty drag themselves off the station. At least that's a wear and tear issue, can anyone explain why the steering wheel is off set to the seat. The seat is 2" towards the door. The brains trust made it that way to fit the stick. Muppets

Manufacturers have the steering wheel off set.

I have been in a lot of different trucks the past year, exclusively Freightliners, and the majority of them have seat lean. It's a manufacturing defect. For the most part, the newer they are, the earlier they fail. I would say I've driven probably somewhere between 30-40 different trucks in the past 12 months, all 21-27's, and I think maybe 2 of them had firm seats with no lean and no wobble. I think it's from using cheaper and cheaper parts at the base. The level of seat lean ranges from barely noticeable to extreme. Most of them settle into leaning hard but not falling off. The only thing I've found to counter act this is to change positions often and get out of the truck often. Even the brand new 2027s have pretty bad seat lean after just a couple thousand miles. I'm in one today with 2,100 miles, and it already has extreme seat lean

Yes my k100 is off set, and I once had a Land Rove Defender that was also off set. Seems to be lack of development or giving a rip in my book. I'm sticking an auto in the 100 so the stick goes and the seat is being slid over and mounted to be normal.

Dump the air out of the seat, it can’t lean if it’s on the floor.
wore out, Mega Express, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
AMEN!!!! Just what I was going to say. Been driving 10 years flat on the floor. No problems.jaffles Thanks this.

The seat lean does get better when you drop the seat down, but it doesn't go away completely on a lot of them. And then you're stuck on the bottom forever.
