I am looking for specific meals Canadian truckers can cross the border with.

I understand already no eggs, no fruit or vegetables. Chicken is allowed as long as you keep receipt of purchase.

I am new to border crossing and not looking to get any fines, but also need to make sure I have food for 2-3 days while inside the USA.

    Thanks.

Ask for a list, they have them at both sides! bananas, ham, dirty laundry are ok. oranges, citrus, beef and lot lizards not ok!

Actually you can cross with quite a lot. Almost any citrus is fine as long as it has a US sticker on it. The only meat that is no good is lamb I believe. Next time you cross ask them for a list they will probably hand you one.

any processed meat can be a problem, even a stick of peperoni. But celery, carrots, broccoli, apples, seem to be ok. Nothing with a rind. "orange"

hey guys, in my experience... crossing every 2 days both ways...

no any citrus, no fresh meats any kind. That's all. Funny part, if you bring oranges or lemon without peel you are fine :)

My friend do it all time course like tea with lemon.

If catch first time - let you go. Second time something about 250usd.

Why would you bring food into USA from Canada when it's cheaper to buy in the USA

Not so much anymore (or at least at the moment), especially with the $CDN being less than $US. Sometimes we pay the same dollar value for the same goods, but it costs us less due to the lower $CDN.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???????? Canadian dollar only worth 90 cents Canadian means you need $1.11 Canadian to buy $1.00 US worth.

Well the silly thing is if you buy the produce in canada it's 99 percent probable that it originated in the USA. So you can't take oranges grown in Florida , shipped to canada then sold in sobeys back across the border into the USA! Go figure huh?
