Cummin engine do it your self oil change

    Which tool do you guys ise to drain the oil. Since mine doesn’t have the easy drain oil valve ? Thank you

    I dont have an ISX but it cant be that diffrent from a MX or a 6.7. Basically just a wrench, a filter wrench, a 20 gallon oil pan, a dental pick to get any stuck O-rings off and some rags. Never needed any other special tools.

    Edit: i looked it up, the ISX uses a ratchet but otherwise everything is the same.

    You can buy the EZ Drain Oil valve.

    After you drain the oil put your valve in and then you'll have it there for every time.

    I'll second this. Switched to one for my isx15 and it's made the job that much quicker and cleaner. OP don't forget to change the fuel filters. I do both of mine every single time I change the oil, which is every 10k-13k miles.
