I am seeing $1.73/mi for flatbed contracting with Q-Line. If one assumes 6mpg fuel mileage and $1.30/L diesel and deducts the fuel cost alone from the $1.73/mi, the end result is approx $56/hr revenue to the truck. Pay yourself and there isn’t much left over to pay for truck and maintenance. Are people happy running at these levels?

Qline had to clean house a few years back I hear .. something to do with the dispatch feeding their trucks and friends with the good paying stuff and putting the cheap stuff on company and owner op trucks not in the clique ..or I should say the company that owns Qline

    That doesn’t surprise me.
They sent me their February rate sheet, I guess it changes every month. That was the flatbed rate, add 10 cents for a super B flat.

Buying a truck means your buying a job, not buying a get rich quick scheme. 1.73 probably plus plates, ins, fuel cards, permits, and transponders, isn't a bad deal.

Want more money get your own authority and work off a load board.
