Fuel surcharge is garbage now but with the discounts in fuel no complaints with that. Never coming down to walmart Brookhaven MS again, told them to make a note of it sitting here two days now for an empty. I didn't realize that you had to sit here and watch them put a trailer against the dock and then go sit in front of it like you're claiming property. ########. Not only that I sat for 21 hours on a dispatched load that came here and it wasn't even ready and they're only going to pay me 11 hours detention. They said they're going to pay me for my time here but I doubt it. Trucks are castrated at 65 but after six months and an average of 10000 miles, you can bump it up to 67. Even at 65 mph my average is 6.3 miles per gallon. 2016 Freightliner dd13 ####s all over itself up a hill even with an empty trailer. I won't even get into the "on guard" crash avoidance system it's garbage. Very few light loads everything seems to be 40000 + heaviest one I pulled, load of beer 48000 + including dunnage. Anything I pulled out of GP has been 44000, big rolls of paper no paper cups or paper plates. P&G has lighter loads I can go home and stay as long as I want but when you leave the house you don't get paid empty miles. If you stay too long and don't save settlements to pay for your "rental" during your home time, when you leave out you will haul freight for free until you catch up. Maybe dedicated is ok but I've spoke with several them and they're not doing much better. They have lost accounts. Maybe things will get better if the freight picks up but with fuel prices as low as they are, not anytime soon.
