When eng. is stone cold an you crank it up have him ck. for EX. leaks from tubo. back to flex. pipe by feeling around for leaks with hands untill it starts getting hot, if no leaks are felt have the co. shop ck. for missing rubber grommets in firewall that could be letting hot air get in behind dash, the ele. wires, heater hoses an A/C hoses pass threw firewall in ft. of where your sitting, if you have switch to turn on rad. fan maybe have him turn fan on before you start up the hill early?

in a cascadia you are sitting on top of the one box of the def system. the one box generally run around 600 degrees when it's pulling hills or in regen it can get up to 1100 degrees. get the truck to freightliner and get them to check under the heat shield to see if the dpf may be leaking. mine is in the shop right now with this problem and by. the grace of God in not part of a pile of ashes in a pilot parking lot
