Well, I'm not here to judge anyone, but it appears he was going way too fast for conditions.

Just two nights ago, I was coming across 78 from Allentown. Roads were wet from the days snow. Temps were 25 degrees. Then the fog hit. I was doing 60 when I realized what was happening. Suddenly the defroster couldn't keep up, and it became eerily quiet. I lifted off the throttle and felt it break loose.

Got everything slowed down to what I figured was a reasonable speed of 50 mph. But not Fed Ex or Old Dominion, and UPS. They blew by like it was nothing. I had a feeling that wouldn't end well. Then about 10 miles up the road, the Fed Ex and a Central Transport were in the ditch, along with some others.

I don't fancy myself any kind of expert driver. But I will say I've been in just about any type of weather in a truck. Whether it's skill, good luck, or God watching over me, or common sense, I have been most fortunate when things get ugly.

Radio station warns of snow squalls and this guy hits one and keeps right on his speed governor probably with the cruise set right up until he was a few truck lengths from impact.

What a bonehead that driver is for driving so fast with such poor visibility through his windshield.

But he paid the price. Hope no one was injured.

The joys of being a super trucker and not slowing down. He got what was coming to him for his ignorance
