    you got that tyson plant above denton with the sunny d plant across the road. lots of companies hauling that stuff and around dallas/fort worth. i would take a otr with bennies first. your worth more then just $$

    Well, I would. If they didn't keep changing their minds on what they pay and when. One minute they aren't paying for shutdowns anymore next they are. They don't have much choice. They aren't going to have but maybe three drivers that return if they have to shut down the plant we haul for again without pay. The only benefits that really matter to me are the health. I could probably pay for the cobra coverage though.

    Of the two choices that you currently have, I would stay with the current situation. $400 per week, for me would not be enough to change.
    Heck, if your current employer does complete shut down, you may get close to that 400 in unemployment.
    I would definitely expand your horizons, my response here is just considering the two options stated in your question. Good luck to you, these definitely are challenging times.

    There is no amount of money that would make me run anywhere close to 3500 miles per week.

    LIfestyle and happiness are much more important.
