Hello I am going to do an overhaul on my 12.7 series 60 Detroit and I have a remanufactured (less than 20k miles) Detroit s60 14 liter head laying around. So can I put the reman 14L (ddec5 ) head on the 12.7L (ddec4)engine. I heard that it will bolt up but I would have to use : 12.7 camshaft, 12.7 rockers, 12.7 jakes, the 14L injectors.
Can anyone tell me if this seems right? I’m assuming I would adjust the overhead based on the 12.7 specs? Also if I use the 14L injectors will it work with the 12.7 DDEC 4 ecm. If it will work do I just cut the connector off the 14L injector harness and solder them to the original 12.7 injector harness ? Btw the 12.7 is non egr and the 14L head is egr

I just read your post on the n3 injector with the dec4 ecm. As Little Cat 500 said, I don't know if they will work with the dec4 ecm. If they do I would do the wiring at the injector connector like you have in mind. All the best to you.
